Firmware ScoopFone HD

New features

• Ability to display the “HD Voice” information on the screen during an active call when the “AMR-WB” audio codec is actually used (HD version and Rack version)
  This feature is only available for units equipped with a “Telit HE910” or a “Quectel UC15” wireless module.

Improvements

• Added support for the “Quectel UC15” wireless module (HD version and Rack version).

New features

• Two alternate ways to manage calls using the contacts (ScoopFone HD-R/R version, rackmount with relays):
  “Switch” mode wherein call/release is done on a state change, or “Pulse” mode wherein call/release is triggered by a temporary contact closure.

Improvements

• Display “Limited service” or “Not allowed” information whenever a prepaid SIM card has expired or the ScoopFone has limited access to the network.
• When in screen saver mode, the first key that is hit is not processed except for exiting this mode.

Fixed issue:

• In some situations the device could miss a network originated event. As a consequence, for instance, it could happen that after a remote release of the call it was not possible to regain control on the line.

New feature:

• Capability to send DTMF tones during an active call. This feature allows e.g. to send tones while connected to an interactive voice response server.
  A “send DTMF” entry in the menu allows to enable/disable this feature.

New features:

• Capability to save the PIN code (via the menu), so that the unit automatically unlocks the SIM card at start-up.
  Same capability also accessible via the embedded html pages on the Rack/Ethernet version.
  It is recommended to disable this feature before exchanging the SIM card (and possibly the PIN code). However, the unit will not make more than one trial if the memorized code is wrong.

Improvements:

• Warning message “SIM locked” whenever the SIM card is blocked.
• Fixed: with some types of SIM cards, the “3G” LED might not light up even when the network access technology was indeed 3G.

Improvement :

• Amount of time you must hold down the “Hang up” button to switch off the ScoopFone: reduced to 1 second.
  A confirmation message is then displayed; press <OK> to confirm and switch off, or <Esc> to cancel.

New features:

• Ability to clear up the call history.
• Current telecommunication network selection displayed in the “About” menu.

Improvements:

• Reminder to reboot the unit whenever the “Auxiliary antenna” setting is changed.
• Improved ring patterns for incoming calls.
• Fixed: during a connection, the unit could hang up if it received a call from a third party.
