Efficient whatever the use

All-round and versatile, Scoop6 allows the bi-directional transmission of one or two audio signals over multiple network interfaces. The device can be configured and controlled easily via its screen or from its embedded HTML server, accessible on LAN or remotely thanks to the Remote Access option. It is also possible to control Scoop6 via codec management software, such as Scoop Manager.

Scoop6 performs reliable and robust links thanks to innovative features, such as packet duplication or double streaming. Its multiple network interfaces allow it to respond to all situations.

Designed to meet the needs of every broadcasters, Scoop6 works efficiently in all environments, be it a studio, a control room or an OB van.

Multiple network interfaces

Scoop6 comes with IP over Ethernet and leased lines. Alternative transmission modes are available as options:

With the integrated Mobile option, Scoop6 supports both voice (and HD Voice™ or VoLTE) and IP transmission over 3G / 4G networks. In addition to a coordination function using the mobile network, the HD Voice™ or VoLTE will often be a good way to ensure backup link when other networks are failing.

By connecting a USB mobile key, Scoop6 can also connect to a second mobile data network. Useful to work from an OB van, or to use 3G/4G/5G networks as a backup. In IP mode, the interleaved packet duplication (FEC) technique provides a robust link.

Coming with free factory SIP accounts on AETA SIP server, Scoop6 also offers a “Direct RTP” mode. The “Direct RTP” mode allows you to set up a link over an IP network without using the SIP protocol.
Download this application note to see how to use the “Direct RTP” mode.
