  • For the “Premium+” version :
    • ability to monitor a sixth AES67 input stream for commentary positions 1 to 4.
    • ability to configure this sixth AES67 input stream in the “Audio -> Ravenna” menu of the front panel for the ZMAN module family.
  • For the “Premium+” version, ability to deactivate the AES67 module from the “Audio” menu of the front panel in order to reduce power consumption.

Improvements :

  • In double codec mode, improved management of incoming AoIP calls and routing to the appropriate codec when the callee is addressed with an alias instead of the main SIP URI.

Fixed issues :

  • Booting the codec will mistakenly restore the default APN of the Mobile module.

New features :

  • For the “Premium+” version, support of ST2022-7 : secure the AES67 interface by using redundant links.
  • As an alternative to “Double streaming” which secures an AoIP/SIP link with two redundant paths, support of a “Bonding” scheme that distributes the AoIP stream over two lower bit rate channels. More information in this application note.

Improvements :

  • The AoIP quality statistics now remain displayed on the “Connections” html page even after the termination of a link.
  • These statistics are available separately for each of the streams involved in a link using “Double streaming” or “Bonding”.
  • “Sound ID”: the signal is also injected on channels 3 to 6 of the AES67 output, and the feature can be enabled/disabled by tapping the indicator on the main page.
  • “On Air Status” feature available on GPO1: contact closed whenever at least one channel is enabled on the program bus.
  • Added “AES67” html page that shows the status of the AES67 module and the IP addressing parameters of its Ethernet interface.

Fixed issues:

  • Regression introduced in version 1.09 : GPO2 does not follow the received “Info 2” if GPO1 is not assigned the “Info 1” state.

  • Ability to perform double streaming AoIP calls using two SIP servers. This feature is rarely useful, but it allows easily switching between single codec, double codec and double streaming modes.

Fixed issues:

  • Fixed major issues associated with the auxiliary Ethernet interface: hanging when trying to update the firmware through this interface, or temporarily freezing when the traffic is high on the network.
  • Erroneous tooltip information on the “Remote Access Portal” when the unit was registered simultaneously on two SIP servers.

  • Ability to register simultaneously on two SIP servers so that the unit can accept incoming AoIP calls indifferently from either server. When using this feature, one of the servers is selected as default to make outgoing calls.
  • Ability to filter incoming AoIP calls and accept only incoming calls originated from the configured SIP server(s).
  • New “Advanced Settings” in the “Coding” page of the web interface: ability to hold an AoIP audio connection even without receiving packets, ability to configure a 6 dB attenuation for the G711 decoder.

Improvements :

  • New “Redial/Release” function to control the state of an audio connection from a single GPI.
  • Warning message if attempting to change the “Preferred Network Operator” while an audio connection is running or the data service is active on, the mobile access module.

  • For the dedicated knobs on the commentary positions, ability to select among two operation modes: “side tone” (default mode) or “mic gain” (channel gain in the mix). The mode is identical for all 4 positions, and selectable via the “Audio” menu.
  • Audio level monitoring of all inputs: a vertical bargraph with peak hold is displayed at the left of each input gain on the “Mixing” page.
  • Pop-up message warning when the unit is running on low battery level.
  • Pop-up warning and progression messages when the firmware of the “AES67 module” is being updated, to prevent one from turning off the unit too early. (concerns Premium+ version only).

Improvements :

  • Improved communication with the remote access server for a faster information update on the “Remote Access Portal”.

Fixed issues :

  • In some LAN configurations, the IP routing could be defective and lead for instance to a SIP registration failure.
  • The “AUX1” input was mistakenly muted when “AES / AUX2 Input Format” was set to “Digital (AES 1/2)” in the “Audio” menu of the front panel or the “Audio” page of the web interface (Premium+ version).

  • Added support for the “Premium+” version of the ScoopTeam, which brings additional audio I/O, especially with the integration of a new AES67/Ravenna network module. 5 input channels and 8 output channels are provided on this interface. It is configured from the ScoopTeam menu, except the receiver delay fixed at “automatic”.
  • “Sound ID” : customizable audio file played in a loop and inserted on the PGM bus (Premium+ version only).
  • Ability to manage SIP profiles, from the “Book” menu of the front panel or the “SIP Profiles” page of the html interface.
  • Ability to manage the equipment using SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol); note that only a subset of the features and information is exposed to the SNMP manager.

Improvements :

  • Ability to show/modify the audio input labels in the “Tools > Labels” menu of the front panel; this includes the ability to name the three additional AES67 input channels for the “Premium+” version of the ScoopTeam.
  • Ability to configure a screen saver in the “Tools” menu page of the front panel; the display is automatically dimmed after a configurable period of inactivity.
  • Ability to use an alternate “SIP Port” for the secondary SIP account used in double codec mode or for double streaming.

Improvements :

  • “Talk to Speaker” intercom function behavior: automatically add gain to the source contribution when the associated monitoring level is low or even muted.

  • Added support for the AETA “Double Streaming” system: ability to secure an audio over IP link by establishing two AoIP connections containing the same audio stream via two separate routes.

Improvements :

  • Added support for MPEG L2 coding at 32 kHz for ISDN calls, in single and double codec modes.
  • Removed linear coding from the codec list for AoIP calls for a better user experience, as the high CPU load caused a slow response on the user interface.

Fixed issues :

  • Fixed the ASC codes used within the SIP INVITE messages for AAC-LC and HE-AAC dual mono coding at 48 kHz (AoIP calls in single codec mode).
